We literally island hopped in more than one hundred islands in less than 8 hours! Okay, maybe not island hopping, per se, but too many islands to count. Let me share my personal experience at the Hundred Islands National Park that is situated in Alaminos, Pangasinan.
*This is a continuation of my two-week cheap backpacking post series.
On the second day of our 2-week cheap backpacking adventure, we found ourselves hooked to this beautiful beach in North Luzon called the Saud beach. I didn’t wanna leave. I couldn’t resist myself not to share photos on my social media accounts the very moment we arrived. If you’d seen it, even just through digital photos, you’d understand why. These photos are certainly gonna make you cringe. Not also going to apologise for it. 😉 Such a beautiful danger ahead! You’ve been warned!
I spent ten days backpacking around five different destinations in Luzon, Philippines on a tight budget. It’s cheap. Really, really, cheap! And each trip gave me a new, exciting feel. Fueled by a few wonderful secret stories kept in my jar of travel memories, my wanderlust definitely doesn’t stop here.
Sometimes, when you’re too excited, things can go the way you didn’t plan or anticipate – 90% most likely. That happened when I made my first attempt to see Kalanggaman Island. Yes, I did plan (aka booked) this trip twice. Oh well…still a beauty on Earth I just couldn’t resist! Did I make it on the second try? Of course!
Going to Kalanggaman Island kindled my yearning desire to travel. Since then, I couldn’t wait to go to next destinationssssssss! Here’s my experience & some tips.
Reflecting back on that day I spent on this island always leads me to feeling how blessed I am that I actually live in the Philippines – a land of natural beauty. Just look at these photos.
